March 6 (Wednesday)
7:30am – 8:20am MDT (1:30pm – 2:20pm UTC)
Last year, DIF and OIDF partnered to work on bridging the DID/VC world with the OpenID Connect world. In the process, the Working Group is addressing many of the difficult problems facing decentralized identity systems.
This panel will feature three distinguished panelists discussing the state of the specification and the latest thinking on these "hard problems."
- Kim Cameron, Author of Laws of Identity, Identity Blog
- Christina Yasuda, Identity Standards Architect, Microsoft
- Tobias Lucker, Technical Standards Architect, Mattr
The panel will begin with Kim presenting a high level overview of the issues, followed by Christina, Chair of the SIOP Special Call within the OpenID AB/Connect WG, providing an update on the current status of the group's work.
And now for the fun part. I'll be moderating and answering the "tough questions." I'm not sure how the technology will work with virtual meetings, but if possible, I might even invite David Waite from Ping Identity to ask some questions.
