Is Massan's theme song "Wheat Song" similar to the Soviet national anthem?

The theme song for the NHK morning drama "Massan" currently on air is "Mugi no Uta" (Wheat Song), composed by Miyuki Nakajima. I heard somewhere that this song sounds similar to the national anthem of the Soviet Union, so I looked it up right away. Actually, I haven't seen Massan, so I didn't know the song at all.
