For various reasons, after changing my mail client to Microsoft Outlook 2007, I found that text I typed in the message body of Microsoft Outlook 2007 was being committed unintentionally. It appears that ATOK can have a similar symptom. I eventually avoided it as follows, so I am sharing this for my own future reference as well.

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook 2007.
  2. Choose Tools > Options.
  3. On the Mail Format tab, click Editor Options.
  4. Under Advanced, click Enter converted text into the document and set it to チェックボックスオフ.
  5. Click OK to close the Editor Options dialog box.
  6. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
