Born in 1941. He has performed with the Stan Kenton Orchestra and orchestras led by Buddy Rich, Toshiko Akiyoshi, and others. He also formed his own Los Angeles 7-piece ensemble and has been active mainly on the West Coast. His sharpened sensibility, accomplished technique, and powerful trumpet convey the excitement of jazz with tremendous force and captivate many listeners.
