You're absolutely right. Of course, there are good things about it too...
To begin with, even I was researching the issue of digitizing postal addresses back in 1999 (SRI (Stanford Research Institute) must have been doing it even earlier), and in the process, things like XRI (eXtensible Resource Identifier) came out, and there were issues with privacy properties and identity fraud (APP fraudA lot of issues have been presented, such as the availability of APx (or you could call it APx fraud) (and solutions have also been presented at the same time). I hope Japan Post will make use of these insights.
