The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will begin making improvements to simplify the procedures for using My Number health insurance cards and make them easier to use starting October 10. The main changes are as follows:
Simplifying the consent process for providing limit application certificate information
Change before:
- Click here if you are using the High-Cost Medical Care Expenses System.
- Move to another screen
- Answer the question "Do you want to provide credit limit information?"
After change:
- Skip the screen transitions and consent process
- Limit information is provided automatically
Standardization of consent methods for providing medical information
Change before:
- Individual consent is given on three screens: surgery history, medical and drug information, and health check results.
After change:
- All information provided can be consented to on one screen
- You can also access a separate consent screen if needed.
These changes are expected to make procedures for using My Number health insurance cards smoother and improve convenience for users.
