The Journey of OpenID Connect over 10 Years and the Future Shaped by Digital Identity

The OpenID Connect 1.0 specification was published in 2024, and this year marks exactly its 10th anniversary.

At OpenID Summit Tokyo 2024, we aim to share with audiences in Japan the journey and current state of OpenID Connect, as well as the latest profiles now being developed, from both business use-case and technology perspectives.

Digital identity specialists from Japan and abroad will explore in depth how digital identity has changed the world since the previous OpenID Summit Tokyo 2020 over these 4 years, a period that included the coronavirus pandemic, and what kind of world it will shape from now into the future. We hope that a wide range of people interested in digital identity will join us.
