The OpenID Financial-grade API Working Group has recommended that the following draft specifications be approved as OpenID Implementer’s Drafts.

An Implementer’s Draft is a stable version of a specification that provides intellectual property protections to implementers of the specification. This announcement by the OpenID Foundation initiates a 45-day public review of the draft specifications in accordance with the OpenID Foundation IPR Policies and Procedures. The review period will be followed by a 7-day voting period, unless issues are identified that the Working Group believes must be addressed by revising the drafts.1

The relevant dates are as follows.

  • Implementer’s Draft public review period: Friday, August 31, 2018 through October 15, 2018 (45 days)
  • Implementer’s Draft vote: Tuesday, October 2, 2018
  • Implementer’s Draft voting period: Tuesday, October 8, 2018 through Tuesday, October 22, 2018*

If you are not currently an OpenID Foundation member, please consider taking this opportunity to join and participate in the approval vote.

  2. Join the Working Group mailing list at https://lists.openid.net/mailman/listinfo/openid-specs-fapi, and
  3. Send your comments to the mailing list.
