The OpenID Financial-grade API Working Group has recommended that the following draft specifications be approved as OpenID Implementer’s Drafts.
- Financial-grade API – Part 1: Read-Only API Security Profile
- Financial-grade API – Part 2: Read and Write API Security Profile
- Financial-grade API – OAuth 2.0 JWT Secured Authorization Response Mode (JARM)
An Implementer’s Draft is a stable version of a specification that provides intellectual property protections to implementers of the specification. This announcement by the OpenID Foundation initiates a 45-day public review of the draft specifications in accordance with the OpenID Foundation IPR Policies and Procedures. The review period will be followed by a 7-day voting period, unless issues are identified that the Working Group believes must be addressed by revising the drafts.1
The relevant dates are as follows.
- Implementer’s Draft public review period: Friday, August 31, 2018 through October 15, 2018 (45 days)
- Implementer’s Draft vote: Tuesday, October 2, 2018
- Implementer’s Draft voting period: Tuesday, October 8, 2018 through Tuesday, October 22, 2018*
