On April 13, at 9:55 p.m., I suddenly decided to send an email titled “Facebook, mydata, and Self Sovereign Identity” to Martin Kuppinger and Joerg Resch of Kuppinger Cole1. Actually, I had been asked to give a keynote on Self Sovereign Identity at EIC 2018, but had left the matter unattended2. It had been bothering me that the idea had fizzled out, so I sent the email thinking that I should at least let them know what I had been thinking.
30 minutes later, a new panel session had been created (laughs).
The panelists include Doc Searls, author of The Intention Economy, and Kim Cameron, the “father of Active Directory,” among others; so far, it is a truly distinguished lineup. I think it should make for a very interesting discussion, so if you happen to be in Europe, please do come.
