According to a LinkedIn blog post published on June 13, Microsoft appears to have agreed to acquire LinkedIn. The acquisition price is USD26.2B, approximately ¥2.77 trillion in Japanese yen. 1. Moreover, it is reportedly an all-cash deal. It is said to be Microsoft’s largest acquisition ever.
LinkedIn will join Microsoft but apparently retain its brand and independence.
