X (formerly Twitter) to remove the number of likes and reposts displayed from timelines

X (formerly Twitter) seems to be removing the number of likes and reposts from the timeline. As of March 3, tweets on the timeline show the number of replies, reposts, likes, and views, but it seems that this will only show the number of views.

This was revealed when Elon Musk responded to a Dodge Designer post saying, "This is definitely happening."

However, these will be visible by opening individual posts. Elon Musk said, "The number of views will only be shown on the timeline as a proxy for other metrics."

I can understand that it's a heavy burden to put it on the timeline, but there seem to be complaints. In fact, the replies are filled with "Horrible Idea" and "terrible idea"... I think it's a bit disappointing too. I hope this doesn't cause users to abandon it even more...
