3/20, I gave a keynote and took part in a panel discussion at Deutsche Telekom’s IdM Tech Day, held in Darmstadt. The entire event was moderated by Martin Kuppinger of KuppingerCole. I delivered a somewhat visionary keynote entitled “Identity as an Engine of Growth,” after which Dr. Lodderstedt discussed identity management practices and Professor Rannenberg discussed privacy-related perspectives such as ABC4Trust.
In the afternoon, the event split into a business session track and a hackathon track, and concluded with another panel discussion. Incidentally, the prize for the hackathon winner was an iPad Mini.
This conference was for people within Deutsche Telekom, but they apparently hope eventually to open it up and make it a forum where a wide range of people can participate and discuss these topics.
The following is a rough outline of what I discussed this time. Since I may give the same talk at EIC in May, I will not publish the slides for the time being. Sorry.
