The overview written by the organizers (thank you!) reads as follows.
Privacy and Identity

What, fundamentally, are “identity,” a keyword of this conference, and “privacy,” and why have they come to be regarded as important? These terms, which tend to be ambiguously defined and understood, will be explained clearly for those who are not experts in technology or law. The talk will also discuss why “identity federation,” in the era of personal data distribution, strengthens consumer privacy, helps maintain good relationships with consumers, and contributes to reducing the risk of public backlash.
It may seem odd for me, who is not a privacy expert (I am an expert in the adjacent field of identity federation technology), to talk about privacy. But I accepted the invitation in the belief that the key lies in the latter half of this description: “why ‘identity federation,’ in the era of personal data distribution, strengthens consumer privacy, helps maintain good relationships with consumers, and contributes to reducing the risk of public backlash.” So the title is perhaps not quite right. The real title should probably be something like this:
Let’s Improve Privacy Through Identity Federation
Or, more bluntly:
Personal Data Federation Without Backlash!
Something like that. Although I am not confident enough to give the latter talk 🙂
