How to buy a SIM card at Munich Airport

The first thing I did when I arrived at Munich Airport this morning was to get a SIM card for my iPhone 4. My iPhone 4 is unlocked, so I can use a local SIM card. When you exit the baggage claim area in Terminal XNUMX and go right, you will find the store shown below on your right.Micro SIM for iPhone 4 is sold here. €19.90. It also comes with a micro-SIM-Adapter. However, the instructions are all in German, so I had to ask the man at the store to activate it for me.

However, this alone is not enough, so I go to the cashier at the supermarket EDEKA across the street, show the SIM package, and pay an additional €20. Then, they give me a receipt with the PIN-NUMMER printed on it, so I go back to the man I was with earlier.

Now, using this,Daten-FlatIt costs 30€ for 19.80 days.

However, just activating it will not connect you to the Internet. You need to set the APN and other settings. I had a hard time finding this, so I'll make a note of it here.

1. APN: internet.eplus.de
2. Username: blau
3. Password: blue

The MMS settings are as follows:

1. APN: mms.eplus.de
2. Username: blau
3. Password: blue
4. MMSC: http://mms/eplus:5080
5. MMS-Proxy: 212.23.97.153:8080

Please do not enter any information in the MMS size limit field.

You should now be able to communicate.

Blau.de also supports Tethering, so you can connect to your iPhone 4 as a Personal Hotspot.

I later found out that there is another plan called Tagesflat that costs 2.4€ per day. You just need to set tagesflat.eplus.de as your APN. This might be a better deal for short-term plans. I tried setting it up, and I got a lot of SMS messages saying, "You cannot use this plan at the same time as the plan you have already purchased." ⇚Now here.

What should I do?

Now, this Daten-Flat (On the websiteThen.Internet Flat XXLThe plan is apparently a 30-day automatic renewal plan. Therefore, when you return to your home country from Germany, you must cancel the contract. To do this, go to www.blau.de and log in. To log in, you need a Handynumber and Internet Passwort. These are written on the paper where the SIM card was attached. When you log in with this,Plan change pageappears. I think you can cancel the contract by clicking "zur Abbestellung" here. Of course, I haven't tried clicking it yet.
