Last Friday, October 26, I attended Liberty Alliance Day 2007.
I was invited as a panelist responsible for OpenID at the cocktail reception, but I attended from the opening at 13:30. I learned a great deal.
The panel discussion was close to what a free discussion ideally should be. It proceeded enjoyably, with digressions into questions such as what Identity is. As the photo shows, we sat in a single row, but it might have been easier to make eye contact if the two people in the middle had sat slightly farther back.
To close the panel discussion, each person gave a brief answer to the question, “What is digital identity?” Since there had been no advance discussion, it was improvised. I already cannot remember what I said :hammer:
I think I probably said something like “Power To The People” (*1). I do not remember my own words, but I remember the words of Mr. Shimomichi, who spoke last.
“It is love.”
It is also a pun, it is playful, and it is very well put.
*1 Apparently, I talked about Theirdentity, Ourdentity, and Mydentity.
But I also feel that I said it had to become Mydentity—Power to the People…
