The 4th Xoops Event was held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on the 21st from 1 p.m. It was very well attended, with a waiting list. I hear that about 126 people attended.
After speaking for about 15 minutes at the event, I had GIJoe sign my book :-D, attended the social gathering, and am now on the Chuo Line on my way home from the 1st after-party. There are still 2nd after-party attendees, 26 people in all. I would have liked to stay a little longer if I had been feeling better, but unfortunately.
The event also included an explanation of the circumstances that led Japan to fork on this occasion, which gave me hope for the future. In fact, yuzuho, who spoke after me, gave a typekey demonstration, which I thought connected very well with my shouting, “Federation!” We had not coordinated it, though.
