Today marks exactly 60 years since the Tokyo Massacre. It is called the Great Tokyo Air Raid, a wording considerate of the United States, but it goes without saying that, on 1 day, killing 100,000 people was one of the worst massacres in history. Japanese people should recognize this a little more. Yet Japan has even awarded the person responsible for this mass killing the Order of the Rising Sun, First Class. What are they thinking? Perhaps that is why they also support the bombing of Iraq.

There is never justice in an attack in war. Claiming otherwise because the weapons are high-tech is simply a lack of imagination. If people say that, I would first like to tell them to go there themselves. I want no part of it. In high school, I was caught up in an attempted coup. It was far safer than the war in Iraq or elsewhere, though I could hear machine-gun fire and an acquaintance was killed in an explosion, but even so I do not want to be in such a situation.

Whatever the war, it is evil.
