At this point, why not just buy FedEx! Well, it is an outrageous idea:hammer:. However, when Deutsche Post bought DHL, DHL’s air-shipping scale was larger than FedEx + UPS. Deutsche Post later bought Airborne as well. The relationship diagram of overseas postal companies looks like this, according to Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications material.
As of today, FedEx’s market capitalization is US$27.65B, or approximately 2 trillion 8,000 hundred million yen. It is not an amount that cannot be bought. There is no need to buy all of it, either. But the Japanese government probably does not have that kind of guts. Is it only me who feels that it would be better than languidly using the money for the Fiscal Investment and Loan Program?
