Livedoor has taken a step back in the battle to establish a baseball club. Believe it or not, the issue was that it hosts adult websites.
It is ridiculous even to make an issue of something like this, but people will ask about it anyway. That cannot be helped. But how should one respond? It was a little disappointing that President Horie described adult websites as though they were something regrettable, unavoidable, and wrong. I think he should have responded more confidently: “Yes, we do. So what?” Of course, that might have prompted an angry response along the lines of, “How can you allow adult websites that are harmful to the sound development of young people?” But then I would like him to ask in return, “What does ‘sound’ mean?” I am sure they would not be able to give a proper answer…
