
As I wrote on April 4th,The war in Iraq is not over. The US calls it "terrorism," but at least what is happening in Iraq is not terrorism but war.
The above-mentioned "America in a Trap" has a similar view. Bush's view is probably the same.
"Even if we invaded Iraq to capture or kill Saddam, we probably wouldn't catch him, and we would be forced to occupy and govern Iraq, and we would be mired in a quagmire with no way out," (former President George W. Bush's comments before the war began)
So why did America get caught in a trap? As in Vietnam, shouldn't we think that it was because it was more convenient for the military industry? Come to think of it, then-Vice President Johnson was also very close to both the oil and military industries. He is also suspected of assassinating President Kennedy, who wanted to withdraw from Vietnam. Am I the only one who sees a similar structure to the current administration?
