At last, My Number Card became available on iPhone from June 24, 2024! I set it up to examine the available functions and its impact on Android smartphones.

  • For each 1 person, a My Number Card can be installed on only 1 smartphone
  • My Number Card on iPhone does not replace a driver’s license
  • If installed on another smartphone, it will be deleted from that phone

? Test Results

On Android, I observed an interesting phenomenon: the user-authentication certificate became invalid while the signing certificate remained valid (Update: It was revoked the next morning, but later appeared valid again, producing a strange state.) There was also a temporary problem preventing nanaco and Suica use, but restarting resolved it.

? Subsequent status of the smartphone signing certificate on Android: the mystery deepens

The smartphone signing certificate on Android had been revoked by the next morning.

However, when I checked again 15 minutes later, it was valid again.

When I checked another 20 minutes later, it was invalid again.

Have I encountered a bug…?
