After 1 years of struggle, my Japanese YouTube channel @55id (Go Go ID) has finally surpassed 1000 subscribers. Well, I have hardly updated it over the past six months, so it was only natural that growth stalled…
There is something I had planned to do once the channel exceeded 1000 subscribers. Namely:
Invite guests and interview them.
I had held off because I thought it might be rude to invite guests while the channel had far too few subscribers. My benchmark was 1000 subscribers, so I finally feel ready to begin. This is close to a list of topics I personally want to ask people about, but the prospective lineup, in no particular order, is:
- What Does the Word Subject Mean? Translating It as “Agent” Is Wrong!
- This Is How We Can Eliminate Phishing Losses! The Effects of Introducing Advanced Authentication and Passkeys
- Where OpenID for VC and Identity Wallets Stand Today
- To QWAC or Not to QWAC, That Is the Question
- What Is an mDL / Mobile Driver’s License?
- Problems with mDL and SD-JWT: Can ZKP Gain a Foothold?
- Shared Signals and Zero Trust
- Bringing the My Number Card to Mobile Devices
- I Tried Building a Passkey Provider
- The Goals of the DID/VC Co-Creation Consortium
- Thailand Government ID Wallet White Paper
- Thailand’s Government Digital Identity Standards
And so on. I have prospective guests in mind for each topic, but whether they will accept is another matter, so I do not really know how feasible these are. Still, I intend to pursue them.
Other Future Plans
For the YouTube channel @55id, I would like to produce solo streams in addition to programs featuring guests like these. The ideas currently under consideration, in no particular order, include:
- The Turbulent Voyage to OpenID Connect: From the XRI Timeline
- What We Gave Up in OpenID Connect and Expectations for Future Technologies
- The Road to DID: OpenID Was Extremely Self-Sovereign, but…
- What Is Authentication? What Is Authorization?
- An Impermanent Society: Defamation, Disinformation, and Privacy
- Third-Party Cookies and OpenID Connect
- Reading Group for the ID Book “Digital Identity” (Multiple Sessions)
- Reading Group for JIS X 9250 Privacy Framework (Multiple Sessions)
- Reading Group for NIST SP800-63-4 Second IPD (Multiple Sessions)
- Reading Group for the Revised EU DI ARF (Multiple Sessions)
And so on. If you have any other requests, please leave a comment here or in the YouTube channel community.
See you!
