OpenWallet Foundation Formation Announced

On the evening of the 14th, at the Open Source Summit in Dublin, the formation of the OpenWallet Foundation was announced. The OpenWallet Foundation is an open source wallet that follows standard protocols.1It's a project to build an engine. It's an open source project, and we don't develop standards. If we need new standards, we go to other standards bodies and standardize them.

I have been working on this initiative for the past few months with many of my colleagues, including credit card schemes, automakers, IT companies, government open source organizations such as IndiaStack and MOSIP, and standardization organizations.

I will tell you that MasterCard and Microsoft also participated in the panel discussion, which are not listed here. I can't take my eyes off the developments.
