On Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 14:00 to 15:30, the Bank of Japan’s Payment and Settlement Systems Department will host “ISO Panel (No. 6): Online Identity Verification (eKYC)—Overview and Potential Applications of the New International Standard ISO 5158—.”

The main theme is the new international standard, Mobile financial services—Customer identification guidelines (ISO 5158).

The program is as follows:

  1. Presentation: “Customer Identification and Authentication Technologies—An Overview of ISO 5158 and Related Technologies—” (tentative)
