I received a PowerPoint 2007 document from someone at a certain MS company (not really “certain,” is it? :hammer:). To open it, I had to install something called a compatibility pack. I casually clicked “Yes,” but… it is 27 MB! It will never finish over a mobile connection, orz.
Even after the download finished, I had to close various programs to install it. The installation takes time, but I could not work on anything else in parallel… I had no choice, so I took a bath 😀
Come to think of it, this advertisement appeared beside my own blog today.
Apparently, it has been made to come extremely close to the usability of MS Office.
Maybe even something like this would be good enough for use in a company.
# OpenOffice would be fine too, though…
Incidentally, I use NeoOffice on my Mac.
