It has been nearly 3 months since I developed runner’s knee (iliotibial band syndrome). It is no longer as bad as it was at first, when even walking was difficult, but the discomfort has still not gone away. I tried running a little today, but before I had even gone 1 kilometer, it started feeling hot and painful.
So I started to worry and looked into it a bit. Apparently, the cause is tightness in the adductor muscles, which results in a displacement of the greater trochanter, and improving the flexibility of the adductor muscles is supposed to help. Conversely, if that area is tight, it is hard to recover… I see. Mine are incredibly tight.
All right. Starting today, I will stretch my adductor muscles every day!
