Enter the alley in front of Bishamonten and take the 2nd left, and you will hear the sound of a shamisen.
It is coming from Konya.
Pass beneath the noren curtain and enter, and the first thing you do is remove your shoes before stepping up inside.
Proceed down the corridor, and you will find a counter on the left and a row of private and semi-private rooms on the right.
The shamisen is played between them.
If you order an assortment of fresh fish, they first bring out the day’s fish to show you.
You choose from among them.
They also have an extensive selection of sake.
The lightly grilled silver-stripe round herring and Kicchō Hōzan shōchū served in a kuro-joka pot are exquisite.
