Meridian Hotels recently became part of SPG, which has made this hotel easier to stay at. When I have to be up unusually early the next morning, I stay here. My other option is the Westin in Ebisu.
The room with two single beds where I stayed last time was very good, so I tried a double this time, but the former is clearly better. The room with two single beds even had a window in the bathroom, with a view of the Bay Bridge and the like; when I lay on the bed, the waterfront spread out below me. With the double room, there was none of that charm. It was just an ordinary hotel.
Was the room where I stayed last time exceptional?
Next time, I will stay in a room with two single beds again and find out.
