At 5:30 in the morning, I woke with severe abdominal pain. It felt as though my intestines were twisting. I was drenched in a cold sweat, and it finally eased a little after 7 o’clock.

What on earth was that?

I certainly drank quite a lot yesterday, but…

Come to think of it, just before that, I dreamed of my father, who died 15 years ago.
It was a place I had never seen, but apparently I had gone there to see my father.
When I entered the room that had been assigned to me, a narrow watercourse—or perhaps a river—several dozen centimeters wide was flowing diagonally through the middle of the room. When I stepped into it to cross to the other side, for some reason the water turned into ants, and I hastily pulled back my foot and shook the ants off.
I was getting angry at my father, wondering why he had assigned me a room crawling with ants like this, when I woke with the abdominal pain.

What on earth was that…?
