\"AI went to the Silvester Concert held at Tokyo Opera City. The concert featured mainly Hungarian works, and the Santa Gypsy Band also took part. The cimbalom was made by Bohak.

It was an enjoyable concert, with singing, dancing, and even a feat involving playing the cimbalom blindfolded, and the audience responded by clapping along. It overflowed with the joy of making music. Although the orchestra had only a small number of players, its low and middle registers sounded full and solid, which was very satisfying.

When it comes to building skills up from the fundamentals, the Japanese probably do a more thorough job, but why is it that this kind of joy and delight does not seem to shine through?

It is a concert I would like to attend again next year.
