Caught a Cold

I seem to have caught a cold, and my headache did not go away all day. By the afternoon, it had become painful enough to interfere with moving around for the first time in a while.

I took various things, such as sodium naproxen and Naron, but they did not seem to help. Only at night did I finally feel a little better.

Hana attended Shion’s storytelling gathering in the morning and a bowling event in the afternoon. I stayed home in bed the whole time. Sara went to chorus practice. Before she left, she apparently fell asleep, and M-Fuchi-sensei ended up calling her. Even so, she seems to have made it to Haijima by herself.

Dinner was sukiyaki. Hana did not know that raw egg is used with sukiyaki. She seemed a little reluctant, so in the end we did without the raw egg.

After dinner, I decided at short notice to add the lower part on flute to the song Sara will sing at tomorrow’s recital, and practiced it. The child who had been supposed to sing the lower part suddenly became unable to attend.

In the evening, I received a call from O-guro-sensei inviting me to perform at a concert on January 9. The allotted time is about 8 minutes. I am wondering what to perform.
