Another typhoon. On top of that, a typhoon with a central pressure of 920 hPa, apparently the strongest in the past 10 years, is heading for a direct hit on Tokyo around nine tomorrow evening. When was the last year we were hit by so many typhoons? Or rather, apparently this is the first time in history.
Typhoons have made landfall one after another this year, already exceeding the previous annual record of 6. If Typhoon 22 makes landfall, it will be the 9th. http://www.asahi.com/national/update/1008/005.html
Insurance companies must be having a hard time with typhoons coming one after another like this. I hear there are already some companies in trouble. Many schools had apparently planned sports days for tomorrow, but they will probably be postponed. Thanks to this, I was able to get home early today, so let us call that a good thing. 😀
