Komeiji Fruit Extract

Isao Akimura
He passed away on July 4, 1990 at the age of 57. He followed in the footsteps of Wagatsuma Yasushi's "Future Diary" and wrote intelligent and sophisticated prose. As a country boy, he seemed a stranger to me. I wrote "The River" with Wagatsuma Yasushi.

The cold evening sky is clearing up like water rising from the trees huddled together
My temples are numb as I head home from work, the pool smelling fresh at night
I chase the cat, attracted by the smell of my blood, while eating.
Two lily orbs blooming in the green of my palms In a moment of strangely deep longing
Every night I kill the insects that live on the shadow figs, whose leaves are stacked together.
In the winter-dead forest, where trees are being cut down, the afternoon rain falls freezing.
The branch line branches off again, and at the station my friend leaves. The train ride along the coastline is long gone.
I will endure the baseness that is confused by the words that boast about poverty.
Only to the extent that one person can handle matters on their own and have pride in themselves.
I'm sorry that I was drawn to it, but the truth is the truth.
The 2,000 books that were burned under guard were soon revealed to be in flames.
The professor was pursued, his name kept secret, and he continued to write, but he left behind only one collection of papers.
The boy who stood up from his desk without saying a word now calls pigeons down onto the roof.
If you don't know the art of scolding, your heart will be restrained and your expression will become shaky.
The old Russian history that the circle does not know and the heart poured out to those sick days
