As it seems that the number of people who know this history may soon start dwindling, I have begun compiling an Internet Identity timeline. I am including events that I personally consider important, based entirely on my own judgment and biases. It is still far from complete, so if you know of something that should be included, please post the date, headline, source (such as a link), and the reason you think it is important in the comments section of this article.
# If there seem to be a fair number of contributions, I plan to create a separate project on Bitbucket or something similar.
