On June 17, 2009, the Kantara Initiative, an open
community created to promote the adoption and expansion of identity management technologies,
was launched. The Kantara Initiative is a newly established nonprofit organization founded by 7 organizations, including the Liberty Alliance,
and aims to advance, ensure interoperability of, and promote the deployment of identity management
technologies from the perspectives of security and privacy protection.
This seminar, organized to commemorate the launch of the Kantara Initiative,
will explain the Initiative’s overview and vision.
Under the title “Technologies Coming Together at Kantara,” it will also present business use cases for the 3 core identity management technologies
: SAML, OpenID, and Information Card.
We look forward to the participation of everyone involved
in identity management technology.
