Do you not think Adobe Reader, Acrobat, is heavy?
I cannot stand how it loads a whole stream of plugins at startup.
On macOS, Preview, the PDF viewer included with the operating system, opens files quickly, but on Windows it is so heavy. Just when I was wondering whether anything could be done about that, I found Foxit Reader. It has also been introduced on sites such as Madonomori, so many of you may already know it.
The application itself is under 2 MB, and even with the CJK support files installed, it does not reach 4 MB. Installation is easy. First, download and install the application. Then copy the separately downloaded support files into its installation folder.
The result: the reader launches instantly, and you can view PDF documents without stress.
