In an article around March 5, 2005, I wrote that Livedoor might be in violation of the Securities and Exchange Law, and indeed, 4 people, including President Horie, have been arrested on suspicion of violating that law. Well, just as expected. Strictly speaking, though, this case is different: the suspicion is “fraudulent schemes and spreading false rumors.” Well, that other matter will probably emerge in due course, too.

This was obvious from the start, so I cannot understand the media and others who were lavishing praise on them.

Now then, let us see what attitude the news media takes this time. Surely they will not suddenly turn around and start attacking them. That would be too much.
