Tastevin Tokyo is located near Nobu Tokyo: go a short way in from 246 and head down to the basement.
Produced overall by Shigeo Torikai, this restaurant has an enormous wine cellar holding 5000 bottles. During the bubble era, it even served wines from the 5 great châteaux by the glass!
The food is first-class, and so is the wine. Just inside the library in front of the main dining room, which makes lavish use of wood (photo at right), there is also a private cigar room (photo below). The photo shows it opened up, but the staff can place a screen in front of the red sofa to create a private space.
The last order is at half past 2 p.m., so you can take your time.
