All day today, I was building a website for work. Then, before I knew it, I had deleted a whole set of web pages.
I had been creating pages with b-wiki. Somehow I mistakenly thought the data was in a database, so I deleted the b-wiki directory and reinstalled it. Unfortunately, b-wiki data is stored not in a database but as text files in that directory. (That may have performance problems of its own, especially when searching.)
Recovery is completely impossible. It was about 20 hours of work, I suppose.
I think I will go to sleep.
