At Tachikawa Chinese Town, above GRANDUO and a 0-minute walk from Tachikawa Station, a lantern festival celebrating the Spring Festival (Lunar New Year) is now being held (until February 16). Lanterns like the one in the photograph are placed here and there along streets with their lights dimmed more than usual, making the area enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone nearby.
There were huge crowds on Saturday, and Chen Kenichi Mapo Tofu Restaurant had a long line even though it was outside the usual busy hours.
