I Bought a Hard Disk Recorder

On the evening of the 23rd, I went to Bic Camera in Tachikawa to buy an HDD & DVD recorder. My wife was going to Akishima Civic Hall to see our daughter’s opera performance—she appeared as a village child in La Bohème—so we traveled together as far as Tachikawa.

At first, I intended to buy a Sugoroku, but in the end I chose the Pioneer DVR-525H. Like the other model, it can record programs based on keywords, and it also expands the keywords using a thesaurus. The fact that it has a folder function was another deciding factor. It seems to be downloading the EPG right now. These convenient features cannot be used until the EPG has been downloaded. I am looking forward to using it tomorrow.

My other purchase was some ticket paper, for printing additional tickets to the Christmas concert on the 25th.
