Today was my complete medical checkup. The results were all A. Even though I had eaten convenience-store katsudon and katsu curry until the last possible moment the day before, drunk while holding a bottle of shochu, and gone in sleep-deprived. Apparently, my body is quite healthy.

On the other hand, the mental-health check that arrived only recently was terrible. It said:

“It is worth reconsidering whether you are pushing yourself too hard and worrying too much. Omitted passage. Please consult someone. You do not have to worry alone.”
“It is necessary to ease your anxiety, so please seek consultation as soon as possible.”
“There are better ways than worrying by yourself. Please consult someone as soon as possible.”
“Improving your mood is the issue. Please consult someone.”
“It may also be necessary to consider mental-health aspects.”
“We strongly recommend that you consult the company’s doctor, a counselor, your regular doctor, or a nearby consultation service at least once.”
“Rather than carrying your worries alone, why not consult someone?”
“People sometimes fall into a slump. Omitted passage. Not only for your own sake, but also for the sake of these people, please contact the telephone or in-person consultation office.”

Ha ha ha. :hammer: With such a parade of “Please consult someone,” I could not help laughing. What, this is no laughing matter and I should call right away? That may indeed be so…
