Magic Flute @ Staatsoper im Schillertheater, Berlin
On Sunday afternoon, I saw The Magic Flute at the Staatsoper im Schillertheater in Berlin. The girl sitting next to me was about nine years old, and she was leaning forward to watch intently. I suppose if you grow up attending church mass in the morning and going to the opera in the afternoon, your fundamental physical strength will naturally be different from that of musicians raised in Japan. But The Magic Flute is wonderful.
